Sarawati Puja is celebrated at every educational institute so is in Ritz College of Engineering & Management. This festival is popular among all the students. Every year, on the auspicious day of Saraswati puja, students and staff of  Ritz come together to seek  blessings from Goddess Saraswati and enjoy the day filled with activities.

This year, the activities were turned down due to COVID-19. But the ceremony did hold a mighty presence of the students, teachers, and Board Members. The short event ended up serving Prasad to everyone.

Saraswati Puja or Basanta Panchami is the Hindu festival celebrated on the eve of the birthday of Goddess Saraswati. This festival is dedicated to Devi Saraswati who is regarded as the goddess of knowledge and music. It is believed that the goddess Saraswati indicates positive energy and power.

Remembering Saraswati pujas and other memorable events with the Ritz family.

Before 2077 Ritz had celebrated the festival with the same amount of excitement and emotions as the other festivals. The ritual is performed by the Chairperson and senior member of College by worshipping the goddess of knowledge to have successful academic and career growth by performing “Saraswati bandana”.

According to the mythology, it is believed that worshipping Goddess Saraswati on this occasion symbolizes the everlasting flow of wisdom, graceful blossoming of knowledge maintaining a ray of motivation sparkling forever.

Considering a pandemic scenario of 2077 and observing all the safety guidelines for the COVID-19, authorities didn’t permit huge celebration of the Saraswati puja with all the students of Ritz. This year puja was celebrated in the presence of few teachers, staff and students to pray for prosperity and knowledge.

The Principal of Ritz College of Engineering and Management Tulsi Ram Rijal said “Every year the college celebrates the festival in an elite manner. The event is organized by our students in collaboration with teachers and management.  However, this year, keeping the slogan of health is wealth, to ensure the safety of all the students from the CoronaVirus, we discouraged mass gatherings and celebrated in the presence of few teachers and students. But next year once everything normalizes there will be a grand celebration.”

Since 2009 Ritz College of Engineering and Management has been operating under the guidance of The Himal Educational Foundation and Research Center Pvt. Ltd. (Milestone Educational Network). The college offers undergraduate programs in BBA, B.E, BHM, affiliated with Pokhara University.
